The PTDA (Power Transmission Distributors Association) is the leading association for the industrial power transmission/motion control (PT/MC) distribution channel. PT/MC encompasses a broad variety of mechanical, electrical, and fluid-driven equipment such as bearings, belts, drives, motors, gears, couplings, clutches and brakes, linear motion, and hydraulics and pneumatics. PT/MC products are found in manufacturing plants, assembly lines, in production processes—anywhere there is movement, you’ll find PT/MC products.

PTDA’s membership comprises power transmission/motion control distribution firms that generate more than $16 billion in sales and span over 3,400 locations. PTDA members also include manufacturers that supply the PT/MC industry.


MPMA (Minnesota Precision Manufacturing Association) has built upon its achievements the past 60 years and has become the leading voice of the precision manufacturing industry in Minnesota. As an association, they have introduced and supported the initiatives and education that will keep manufacturing in Minnesota a strong and vital component of the state’s economy including the Minnesota Manufacturing Coalition – Uniting 21 trade associations to leverage their resources to have a positive influence on the industry.


Adams-ISC (Rapid City) is a member of the PVMA (Pressure Vessel Manufacturers Association) a national organization representing manufacturers of pressure vessels made in accordance with the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC), Section VIII, Division 1 and Division 2, and suppliers of materials and services to the pressure vessel fabricating industry.

UL 508A / UL 698A Certification

UL (formerly Underwriters Laboratories) is an independent testing company that provides product safety standards and third party product safety certification. ISC Companies is a UL certified panel shop; which means we are certified to design and build UL listed control panels that meet the following standards:

Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC) Section VIII Division 1 (“U”)

Adams-ISC, Rapid City, holds the ASME BPVC Section VIII Division 1 (“U”) stamp, which certifies the design, fabrication, inspection, testing, and certification of pressure vessels operating at either internal or external pressures exceeding 15 psig.

ASME B31.3 Process Piping

Adams-ISC, Rapid City, is certified for ASME Process Piping typically found in petroleum refineries; chemical, pharmaceutical, textile, paper, semiconductor, and cryogenic plants; and related processing plants and terminals. It covers materials and components, design, fabrication, assembly, erection, examination, inspection, and testing of piping.

National Board “R” Stamp Certificate of Authorization

Adams-ISC, Rapid City, holds the National Board “R” stamp which certifies metallic repairs and/or alterations of boilers, pressure vessels, and other pressure-retaining items (both in-shop and in-field).
