Adams-ISC Machine Shop and Welding Fabrication Services

Adams-ISC in Rapid City specializes in high precision machining work and custom one-off projects that other manufacturers simply do not want to take on. The machine shop is a fully-equipped and capable of handling almost any standard or custom industrial manufacturing project. Our experienced machinists will provide rapid, reliable, and quality workmanship from the point of conceptual design through final product. From welding and fabrication to complete overhauls, retrofits, and repairs—our machining solutions are custom-tailored to fit the exact needs and specifications of each customer. With an extensive range of capabilities, Adams-ISC consolidates the tasks of multi-step manufacturing projects under one roof, providing a single source for custom equipment design, build, and repair.

The Adams-ISC machine and metal fabrication shop in Rapid City specializes in prototypes, custom jobs, and small volume production. Our “job shop” offers a variety of machining processes, allowing us to machine parts in small quantities with short lead times. We have several pieces of equipment dedicated to running rush jobs, including manual and CNC mills and lathes. We also offer surface grinding, boring, honing, turning, sheet metal forming, welding, heat treating, and reverse engineering all in house.

While many machine shops look for production jobs, we focus our attention on machining specialty parts in small quantities for repair, replacement, or prototype purposes. We also have experience machining a wide variety of material including various plastics, aluminum, steel, and stainless steel, as well as unusual alloys, custom engineered materials, ceramic, and hardened tool steel. Our experienced machinists are experts in determining what machines and which processes and materials will be most efficient to make your parts.

Job shop service has two main benefits – short lead times and precision work. Because we offer so many services under one roof, we can offer high quality parts and fast turnaround times. From simple milled or turned parts to custom multiple-operation machines, our goal is to help solve your toughest problems.

To support our machining capabilities, we also offer reverse engineering services. If you have a broken or obsolete part, we can reproduce it. We’ll take what’s left of your existing part, blueprint it, and produce a replacement that is as good as or better than the original. Or—give us your CAD files or drawings and we can produce custom, one-off parts and assemblies.

We know how important it is to keep your equipment running and breakdowns never happen at a good time. We will be there for you—nights, weekends and holidays.
