Description

IDC Select radial ball bearings are produced to strict specification tolerances that are designed to meet or exceed USA industry standards. All product series are produced in ISO certified factories with automated production assembly lines that are ISO/TS16949 certified. All IDC Select products are 100% noise tested to meet factory electric motor quality noise levels. Standard radial series 6000-6200-6300 are produced as standard C3 clearance and all products are supplied with 25-35% fill Polyrex EM grease or equal.

All products are certified to ANSI/ABMA ABEC 1 tolerance with most meeting ABEC 3 tolerances based on the automated production processes. Forging and heat treatment are done in-house and all ball bearings are stabilized to 250 °F. Grade 10 balls are used on the small sizes up to 50mm bore and grade 25 balls are used on all sizes over 50mm bore. Standard series products are produced with SAE 52100 steel. Sizes offered in stainless steel are produced with 440C steel. Seals are produced from NBR rubber with a steel backing.

Deep groove ball bearings incorporate grooved raceways on both the inner and outer ring, which enable them to sustain moderate axial loads in both directions in addition to radial loads. Balls are separated by steel cages, permitting high-speed operation.

  • Sealed (2RS) bearings feature contact lip seals that provide protection from liquids and contamination. However, seal rubbing can result in friction (drag) and produce heat, which could be a concern in high-speed applications.
  • Shielded (ZZ) bearings have non-contact steel shields that do not protect against liquids, but add no friction or heat build-up during operation.
  • Open bearings are supplied with a coating of light oil and are used in oil bath and oil mist environments.
  • Snap ring (NR) bearings are supplied with snap ring grooves and snap rings installed on the OD. Not all bearings are available as NR.
